St. Boniface Faith Formation Programs

Program	Age Group	Description	Schedule	Registration
Children’s Liturgy of the Word	Children ages 3 and up who have not yet received First Communion	This program provides age-appropriate education for children during the Sunday Mass. Children meet with a catechist during the “Liturgy of the Word” (readings, homily, creed, intercessions) and participate in the remainder of the Mass with their parents.	Meets most Sundays during the 10:30 am Mass, beginning September 16th. Check the “Events Calendar” on the St. Boniface home page for more information.	No registration is required.
Faith Formation Classes	Grades 1-10	Students meet weekly to receive instruction and formation in the Catholic faith. Each grade is taught by a catechist and class sizes are small.	Meets most Wednesdays during the school year. Grades 1-6 meet from 5:15-6:15 pm; Grades 7-10 meet from 7:15-8:30 pm. Check the “Events Calendar” on the St. Boniface home page for a detailed schedule.	Registration required; $40 per student for parishioners; $60 per student for non-parishioners. Contact Michelle at 952-446-1224 for more information.
Preparation for 1st Reconciliation & 1st Communion	Grade 2	Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Communion takes place during our weekly Faith Formation Classes; our 2nd grade curriculum is focused on preparation for these sacraments. For more information, see the “Sacrament Preparation” link.	During regular Faith Formation classes: Wednesdays from 5:15-6:15.	Included in registration for Faith Formation.
Preparation for Confirmation	Grades 9-10	Preparation for Confirmation takes place during our weekly Faith Formation Classes. We offer a two-year preparation program that includes classroom sessions, service projects, faith events, and a retreat. For more information, see the “Sacrament Preparation” link.	During regular Faith Formation classes: Wednesdays from 7:15-8:30.	Included in registration for Faith Formation.
Youth Ministry Events	Grades 6-12	A variety of events, including service projects, fun activities, prayer, and learning more about what it means to be Catholic are all a part of our new youth ministry program.	Schedule varies; check the “Upcoming Events” link for more information.	No registration is required.
